FAQs

Sparton can package materials in 1,000 or 2,000 lb bulk bags, as well as 40 lb bags. We also offer our granules or buffings in 50 or 55 lb paper or plastic bags. Typically, running tracks consist of a polyurethane-bound black rubber base mat layer, two structural coatings of polyurethane-based pigmented binder, and encapsulated pigmented EPDM rubber granules.

Watch for signs such as visible cracks, fading or peeling, or uneven running track surfaces that could cause tripping hazards. These tend to indicate that your track is nearing the end of its life and will need to be replaced soon. 

A worn-out track isn’t just an eyesore - it can be dangerous for athletes, increasing the likelihood of slips and injuries. If the running track’s rubber surface has hardened significantly or shows symptoms of wear, it may no longer provide the necessary level of cushioning.
